I went to a LifeStar CEU yesterday on pediatric emergencies, where I learned a number of horrifying things, which surprised me because I feel pretty knowledgeable and jaded. But the choking game is something I had never heard of, and anyone who works in emergency services or education---not to mention parents---should learn about it. Kids choke each other until they're nearly unconscious and then let off the pressure to get high off the return of blood. Good times, right? No drugs, no danger, or so they think. Most go on to try it alone. Clearly this is a bad idea. This Web site has info on the "game" along with warning signs for parents.
