Writing and publishing would be a lot easier if it weren't for all the stuff that has to do with the "not working with words" stuff. I've just spent 90 minutes on writing and editing projects, so sort of attacking things from both ends for two different projects, and in neither case did I write A SINGLE WORD. I wrestled with software, I wrestled with templates, I messed around with formats...argh.
Now I remember the instant I decided, "Gee, I think I want to be a nurse." I was literally sobbing in frustration over a manuscript I was editing and was fighting a real urge to stomp on my laptop until bits of it were strewn about (picture the printer scene in "Office Space").
Lesson learned. The grass is not always greener.
