I know y'all are just dying to find out what my heart is up to these days.
I had my ablation on October 22, and the EP surgeon zapped one of two troublesome areas (the AV reentry SVT with Wenckebach periodicity) but left the other one because it's, like, ON my SA node. I still think it's almost cute how excited he was to find both of these weird issues at once. Surgeons are like excited children when they find bizarre problems.
Anyway, he put me on Cardizem CD 120 and set a follow-up. I felt fantastic!
Until. Last month when my heart started doing the same damn thing and I got chest pain and couldn't breathe and ALL that. Doom. He doubled my Cardizem CD 120 to morning and night. It was on this dose that this tracing was taken, so then he added Toprol XR 50 at noon.
I feel all right on this regimen, but I really don't like this whole "I had the stupid ablation and am right back where I started" part. That isn't quite true, because I don't feel nearly as wretched as before and am functional, but I still feel that pouting is warranted.
