Making happy spaces: the kitchen window

I've been revising my home decor, meaning creating some to begin with. It's part of my "do things that make me happy" push. I want a home that I feel good in. I went to all the time and expense to buy it 10 years ago, and I haven't done a thing since!

I don't care what other people think of the place. I want it to make ME happy. The only thing I've spent much money on is a nice chair and ottoman; I like to have the perfect place to curl up with my laptop or a book, and I didn't have one. I decided to just spend the money to get exactly what I wanted. See the gallery of my progress here.

Today I'm excited about my completed kitchen window project. The boyfriend put a shelf halfway up to put plants on, but that makes curtains dicey. I happened on these clip things, put them on a tension rod, and hung my favorite cloth napkins as curtains, and I love it!
